Abstract

|
An adult fist-sized congenital pericardial celomic cyst, which is surrounded with thin and glistening membrane was removed from the mediastinum of a well-nourished 23-year-old Korean male.
The cyst was found in the anterior part of the superior mediastinum, and was communicated with pericardial cavity by a short hollow stalk.
In regard to both the location and communication of such kind of cysts, the present case is one of the rare cases in comparison with those of numerous cysts which were appeared in previous reports.
